Hi. I'm Darlene. With over 30 years of experience as an educator, I have dedicated my career to fostering environments where students and teachers can thrive. My journey in education culminated in earning a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree, with a research focus on how school leadership can better promote teacher wellbeing.
In 2024, I formed my own company, Just Breathe Yoga and Wellness and began a new journey that combines my extensive experience in education with my passion for well-being.
In addition to being a yoga teacher at the 200 hour level (registered through Yoga Alliance), I am a yoga therapist in training with Inner Peace Yoga. I have advanced training in Restorative Yoga, Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, Yoga Biometrics, The Science of Slow Yoga, and the Yoga and Neuroscience Connection.
Additionally, I am certified to debrief the PERMAH Wellbeing Survey, which provides valuable insights into an individual's health and well-being. As a Brain Longevity Specialist, certified by the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF), I bring the principles of a healthy lifestyle to my clients.
